I planned this as a submition for my school's yearbook cover contest. 13 shots, 4 of which ended up not being visible ( ), plus several lightintg differences because I forgot to set the shutter speed to the same amount and let the camera's auto mode do the rest. AND, the asshats at Shoppers Drug Mart, where I got the negatives scanned, fucked up so much. I spent 30 mins out of the 6 hours the manip took me just aligning the images with each other .
Full view would be better than the thumbnail, but after looking at it for 6 hours I think its hedious.
Film: 400 ASA Agfa-something
Location: Michael Erickson's room at my school.
Model: An uninterested Ryan Fossela.
Concept: Ryan's little world (he has 'grown' and adquired empathy for other people. LAME, I know, but I needed something related to 'growth', which is the theme of the yearbook cover)
I think it looks horrible. I can tell you whats wrong with it with my eyes shut. And I might be reediting it soon in order to redo some antialising that didnt go so well .
On a personal note, this is perhaps the deviation that has had the most work and time invested in it.
*sigh*
Edit:
Uploaded fixed version, 2 months after I made it.
Trying out new font for the lower border region
There have been many multi-exposure shots submitted here on deviantART and I have enjoyed most of them but, this....this takes the cake. You have done an amazing job in creating a story with this one. All the poses tell a little piece of that story and it is just perfect. The contrast in this is spot on as well. Great work and a favorite from me.
Oh cool, multiple exposure I've done this before with my camera but I took it down short thereafter. This is cool
